If you always agree with how you’re edited, you don’t have enough faith in your own vision. BUT if you’re the type of writer who doesn’t think you need an editor, you’re exactly the type of writer who needs an editor.

Writing with an editor is like a game. Each side tries to trick the other person into what the end result should be. Neither side should win 100% of the time. Hopefully, it’s playful.
